4 years ago I had the opportunity to be featured in a video for Hootsuite called the Art of Social Selling. At that point I was very focused on the need for sales peoples to start building their social profiles and connect with decision makers online.
Now, I am an Owl and work for Hootsuite, so it just made sense to remake the video and update the content. As much as I had been focused on the need for sales professionals to move from resume to reputation, now the focus is on how visibility creates opportunity.
The concept is a core belief and the first part of the social selling methodology. Visibility creating opportunity is what I would call a universal truth. In every context it holds true and if sales professionals can adopt it, they will build their professional brands, identify, connect and engage with more buyers on social networks.
