Good times in Massachusetts

I spent the past week in Burlington MA. at the corporate HQ. It was very nice to meet all of the people that I had been talking to online and over the phone for the past few months. The company has been growing a lot over the past year and most of that growth has been over the past few months.

I flew in Sunday night and everything kicked off early Monday morning at the office and I only had a few hours of sleep. That’s cool. I don’t need much sleep. I had a bunch of meetings going over everything that covered the next 90 days. So much stuff to get done and I am excited to do it.

It’s always an awkward moment to meet people for the first time IRL who you have been exchanging emails with and talking to on the phone. People never look like you have the picture of in your head and sometimes that’s a good thing. I got to talk with all the important people in the office for at least a few minutes and understand how we can help each other moving forward. Getting some ‘face-time’ in was extremely beneficial.

I have been to Mass a few times for work over the past few years with different companies. This was the first time in January and luckly we didn’t have a snow storm while I was there. I’m not a big fan of standing in the snow wearing work clothes for an extended period of time. The California weather tried to sneak in and Tuesday was a wonderful day in the 60’s. Having it nice out and a decent level of snow on the ground from the past storm was perfect.

Don’t get me wrong I missed the Bay Area. I’m spoiled in California and I know it!
