As an affiliate marketer you would certainly like to make more money when promoting the affiliate products. However, you need to have some background knowledge before you can do it. You need to study and understand your market very well. This will help you to choose the products to promote. If you can do so you will be just one step away from success in your career.

So the first step is to choose the right market. In most cases you will not choose a highly competitive market. Instead you will go for a niche market. A niche market can be a very small one by the good news is that you will be able to dominate in such a small market easily if you choose it correctly.

So how do you choose the niche market? You can use some research tools to do it. One of the tools you may use is the Google Adwords keyword tool. Using this tool you will know what do people search. The keywords with the highest volume will imply that the niche market associated with these keywords is of high demand!

You will also need to know if the market is full of competitions. So the next step is to see if there are too many people competing in the market. To do this, you will use the keywords you get in the previous step. You enter the keywords and perform a search in Google. You will then see the total number of search results. A large number of search results will mean that there are a lot of competitions in the market.

Now you will compare the demand and supply. You will compare the search volume and number of search results. If you find that the search volume is very large and the number of search results is very low. Then I have to congratulate you since you have already found your niche market!

You have finished the research part. The next part will be building your own website to promote the affiliate products. You are creating a content website which means that a large part of website is content (texts). You will also create the content based on the research you have done in the previous step. In other words you will write the content based on the keywords you have found.

You should also take your website as a platform to collect email addresses. It is important to build up a subscriber list. As a matter of fact your subscriber list will be the most important asset in your career in affiliate marketing. You will be sending emails and newsletter to your subscribers so as to increase the profit.

In a nutshell, you will firstly find a niche market. This is very important since the market you choose will greatly affect your profit. Then you will build the website and pre sell the products. If you can do these well, you will be able to succeed in affiliate marketing very soon.
