Top StumbleUpon links for March

Categories: Technology
Written By: Koka Sexton

StumbleUpon has become a staple in my online life for the past couple months. I like StumbleUpon more than other sites like Digg. The main reason is that the process is extremely passive and requires little effort by me to find interestingly random websites. I think I have written just about all that I can about my excitement over StumbleUpon. Between listing my favorite StumbleUpon Links and adding to that with a post on my all time favorite StumbleUpon Links, and an article on how to use StumbleUpon as a marketing tool.

Because I don’t think I can write any more about the greatness of StumbleUpon, this will be my last post on the topic. I wanted to highlight that StumbleUpon has added a new feature to the site that shows thumbnails of the sites you list as favorites. I have added thumbnails that are direct links to some of my favorites.

StumbleUpon is definitely good for gaining exposure for our websites. One interesting thing that I have noticed with SU is that the bounce rate is always much lower (usually around 40%) for these visitors than for other kinds of traffic, including the traffic from search engines. The downside is that Stumblers rarely click on ads or affiliate links, making monetization more of a challenge.

I like these social sites (Stumble and Digg) but have never had much traffic from them!!

  14. The Angels Weekly Says:

I don’t really quite understand the whole “stumble” thing?? Is it really that good for driving traffic?

I guess I will have to look into it a bit more? Even the people leaving comments don’t say too much about it? I will have to do more research.

Thank you for the information, though.
