The good the bad and the ugly

I don’t write enough. Though I manage a few different sites and periodically post to them, I rarely use this site as a springboard for my thoughts. Instead I take my time and write something substantial to post and work on the code. (I know it still needs some work.)
So I figured I would start writing in here on a more regular basis in smaller bursts. With as many readers as I am fortunate to have I figured you may want to know more about me as well as read my other posts.

What’s new
Life is going well. I’ve been busy at the office and trying to spend as much quality time at the house and sneaking in some time to write. The dog (Lola) is still keeping us entertained. I have become one of ‘those’ people with their pets. I talk to my dog like she speaks english. Please, no jokes. I know it’s pathetic.
I am meeting a lot of great people and reading some great stuff on the internets. Places like Twitter and StumbleUpon have been my major online vices. I have just started getting into Digg but don’t think I’ll ever hit it big there. But I do like the great selection of news to choose from.
I’ve been trying to make a point of following anyone’s blog that leaves a comment on my site. I’ll start commenting more instead of just trolling. If you read this blog and have one of your own, leave me a comment so I can start following you too.
All in all, I have no complaints other than the price of coffee is going up (I drink a lot) and my multiple wishes to add a few hours into the day have been denied.
What I have to look forward to
This is always my favorite stuff to think about. Regardless of what’s happening in the moment I can just remember that their is sunshine on the horizon. Two great movies are coming out soon. The Dark Knight and Ironman. I hardly ever pay to see a movie in the theater but these two movies are must sees on the big screen. I am heading to L.A. for a wedding and then getting ready for a vacation followed by the annual “Man Trip” with my buddies backpacking into the woods for a long weekend of hiking, swimming and enjoying peace and quiet. I missed last year for some reason or another and I haven’t heard the last of it for a while, so there is no backing out from this one. I won’t lie, if I could access Twitter from a satellite phone in the middle of nowhere, I would in a heartbeat. (I know I have issues!)
One last question
Do you really want me to update you on a regular basis on my life? Since this is what the blog started off as and then has morphed a few times over the years, I’ll respect any feedback.

I think personal updates help make a blog feel more ‘real’. I keep my personal updates over at my Mom blog at virtual-coach.com , and use my flagship name blog for my entrepreneurial posts.
Speaking of movies, don’t forget about Forbidden Kingdom! I took my family there last Sunday; it was beyond superb. My kids are also looking forward to seeing Speed Racer.
Enjoy,
Barbara
