So you want to get into lifecasting?

No longer happy with blogs and posting video clips on sites like Viddler.com and YouTube, people are getting into the new fad of lifecasting. A couple months back I wrote about Generation You and started on this topic. Justin Kan of justin.tv is the forerunner of this market that sceptics said would never amount to anything.
compared to EDtv and the Truman Show, anyone with the desire to stream their life over the internet in realtime now have the opportunity with JTV’s free access. The site now says they have about 8000 registered users and all of them are able to use a webcam for their own show. Most of the people sit at home or work with a webcam plugged into a desktop. The die hard lifecasters go mobile with laptops and EvDo card. The main question was what equipment was needed and where can you get all of it. JustinTV has answered that question.
Partnering with online electronic site Dynamism Justin Kan now offers Lifecasting Kits. Everything minus the internet connection that anyone would need to have a mobile lifecast.
Dynamism and Justin.tv have partnered to offer the “Justin.tv-Kit”. The kit includes everything you will need for your own personal lifecast. Justin.tv has been compared to EDtv, Being John Malkovich and The Truman Show. By wearing a webcam attached to a cap 24/7, you too can broadcast yourself online. That means everything from event streaming to lifecasting. Somehow chat got thrown in there as well.
How do you feel about this?
